ROME BY NIGHT -90 FISSO-

Anche quest'anno siamo arrivati al Natale e come consuetudine il club <<90 Fisso>> del mitico Marco ha organizzato il "Roma de Notte". Incontro molto easy dove si chiacchiera e si mangia qualcosa in compagnia delle proprie VW con sullo sfondo la Roma imperiale. Quest'anno purtroppo me lo sono perso :-(

Also this year we arrived at Christmas days and as usual Marco, <<90 fisso>>'s president, organized the "Rome by night.". A very easy VW meeting where we can talk and eat something all toghether with our VWs with the background of Imperial Rome. This year, unfortunately I lost it  :-(

BOSCH 019 SPARE PARTS

Dopo l'acquisto dello spinterogeno, per quanto completo, è obbligatorio mettersi alla ricerca di tutte le parti che con l'uso si consumano.

After purchasing the distributor, even if it was complete, I had to look for all the spare parts to revise it.

Spazzola, condensatore, puntine e calotta, a detta di parecchi appassionati, dovrebbero essere ancora in produzione da parte di Bosch stessa.

Rotor, condenser, points and cap, according to many VW fans, should still be in production by Bosch .

Dopo un periodo di ricerca mi sono rivolto a Glenn, famoso restauratore americano di spinterogeni Bosch, che in brevissimo tempo e con una spesa ragionevole mi ha spedito tutto l'occorrente.

After a while searching them I wrote an e-mail to Glenn, an american guy famous rfor his Bosch dizzy restoration, who in a short time and at reasonable cost sent me everything I need.

 

L'unico pezzo Bosch è la spazzola, tutto il resto è di concorrenza, ma detto sinceramente poco importa. L'unico vezzo che mi sono permesso è la scelta della calotta di colore marrone, caratteristica delle calotte di quel periodo.
The only piece made by Bosch is rotor, everything else is aftermarket, but it doesn't matter. The only thing I want was a brown cap, characteristic of the caps of the period.

BOSCH BLUE COIL 6VOLT

Dopo aver trovato lo spinterogeno Bosch 019, per completare il "Bosch Screamer Kit", era necessario trovare una bobina blu della Bosch a 6 volts.
After having found the Bosch 019 distributor, to complete the "Bosch Screamer Kit", was necessary to find a 6 Volts Bosch Blue Coil.

Sarebbe stato bello trovarne una del periodo, con la bachelite marrone come ha fatto Giulio [aka Topchop - vedi prima foto], ma nonostante la prolungata ricerca non ci sono riuscito.

It would have been nice to find one of the period, with brown bakelite as Giulio [aka Topchop - see first picture] did, but despite the long search I wasn't able to find it.

Ne ho trovata una NOS, ma successiva come periodo e lo si intuisce facilmente dalla bachelite nera e dalla scritta "made in Brazil" invece di "made in Germany".
I found a NOS one , but more recent and you can easily discover this from the black Bakelite and the missing words "Made in Germany" on the front sticker.

Per essere coerenti con le altre modiche che sto apportando al Maggiolino sarà necessario verniciare la bachelite del marrone corretto, montarla così sarebbe impossibile.
To be consistent with other changes which I am making on my Beetle will be necessary to paint the bakelite in the correct brown, mount it with black one it would be impossible.
