Finalmente in Italia un evento che ha tutti i presupposti per diventare un riferimento per tutti gli amanti delle corse in stile USA.
It was time we have in Italy an event that could be a reference for all lovers of US style racing.

Era la prima volta che mi capitava di assistere ad una gara sul 1/4 di miglio e non nascondo che fino all'arrivo a Rivanazzano [PV] ero un pò scettico sul coinvolgimento che una gara su una pista dritta potesse darmi.
It was the 1st time I take part to a race on "1/4 mile" and I can't hide that arriving at Rivanazzano [PV] I was a bit skeptical about the involvement that a race on a straight track that could give me.
Invece già solo il gorgogliare dei potenti V8 mi ha fatto letteralmente drizzare i peli sulle braccia.
Avevo già assistito a gare in pista o in salita oppure a rally, ma forse grazie al fatto di essere a bordo pista, forse per gli ottimi risultati delle nostre VW il coinvolgimento è stato totale.
Instead, only the gurgling of powerful V8 engine made me literally go crazy.
I had already seen running cars on race tracks or uphill or rally but never a 1/4 of a mile. May be for being on board track or for the excellent results of our VW's, my involvment was total.
Molto bello il posto, un aeroporto con la sua lunghissima pista già da solo trasmette il brivido della velocità, e buono il contorno offerto, bagni, self service, area di vendita gadget a tema, forse migliorabile l'area di vendita ricambi.
Beautiful place, an airport with its long track makes you feel the speed's thrill, good presence of a self service where eat and drink, toilets and some stand where buy gadget, could be improved swap area for spare parts.
Una quantità incredibile di Harley Davidson di ogni colore e forma, ottima la presenza di USA cars di ogni epoca, da un paio di hot rod fino alle ultime Mustang e poi le nostre VW con Hot Head Garage e Bollate County al completo che sul campo si sono fatte onore.
An incredible amount of Harley Davidson of every color and shape, the high presence of U.S. cars from all eras, from a couple of hot rod to the latest Mustang and then to our Hot Head Garage and to Bollate County guys have earned honor on the battle field.

La domenica anche la presenza di "semplici" visitatori è stata ottima, direi quasi al di la delle aspettative.
Che dire ... grande evento e grande organizzazione e visto che l'anno prossimo si ripetà saremo nuovamente presenti. Un evento che spero possa diventare internazionale a tutti gli effetti.
Sunday also the presence of "mere" visitors was excellent, I would say almost beyond expectations. What about ... great event and great organization next year we'll be here again.
An event that I hope will become international in each aspect.
